Pawtucket, RI -- Bold Living Color has introduced new glass styles to its extensive line of unique glass & mirrored decorative tiles.

The Pyramid Series includes the X-Tile (sand texture) and Meteorite (peceramic-subway-tilee texture), and the Deep Patterned Series includes the Fossil and Tidalwave patterns.

From the designers perspective Bold Living Color’s tile lines represent a new set of esthetic tools that can translate vision into reality in the living or working space. For example in living areas in the home: walls, counters, and dividers:
        - Kitchens – backsplashes & cabinet
               door insets
        - Baths – backsplashes & mirror
               trim
        - Bars
        - Inlays in furniture

Not limited to any one surface, the designer is given a unique selection -- a new palette -- from which to choose, and a new freedom to cross architectural boundaries and give reality to their vision for using light, texture and color in defining spaces

Glass Tiles:
All glass tiles are prepared one by one to be fired in glass kilns, specially designed to regulate the temperature of the firing -- a factor critical to the formation of the glass tile. The shapes, patterns and textures are slumped into the tile (formed by melting) at very high temperatures and then annealed (cooled). This precisely controlled process gives each tile an individual style, dimension and lasting beauty -- qualities that set it apart in its versatility in surface design application.


In a lighted area these glass tiles capture & manipulate light in ways no ordinary glass can.

The company is pleased to have on staff, Ms. Kana Tanaka, as its Director of Glass Design. Her training and research in glass, beginning in Japan, has taken her around the globe in her pursuit of knowledge about this material. Her aesthetic interest and research is rooted on the phenomenon of light, which she emphasizes and expresses through the medium of glass. "Light is the source of my inspiration. I use glass, a precious and spiritual material, to manipulate light and amplify the experience of light phenomena."

Mirrored Tiles:
The mirrored tiles are decorated by hand, etched in our factory and baked with rich enamel colors. This combination of our original colors and mirrored quality give additional depth to your surface design. The collection is a mix of abstract patterns and colors interplaying to create a bold, contemporary look for your new environment.

This line of decorative and visually arresting surface tiles, comprises three core materials/processes: glass, mirror and ceramic, each with a wide range of patterns, colors and textures.

In addition to the items currently in production, we can customize colors, patterns, materials and textures. Bold Living Color welcomes input from designers and will quote on custom design ideas for any of the three media. Contact us with your ideas.
